Hello out there!I send you political greetings from Osun State.
Hmmmmmmm...against all odds. the incumbent governor of Osun State, Engr. Rauf Aregbesola emerged victorious at the polls to the ''speechless dumbfoundment'' of the ruling opposition. This seems like a close semblance to democracy Yours Truly daresay.Let's allow the people decide who they give their mandate to without let or hindrance!
Now, as far as Yours Truly is concerned, this is a strong message to the ruling party concerning the forthcoming General Elections come 2015.The eyes of the electorate which were once blind are now open. Yes, once upon a time, we were lost, but now we are found! No weapon of rigging, thuggery and undue influence fashioned against us shall prosper any longer. We are tired of this incessant darkness, ''waterlessness'', ''roadlessness'', joblessness, homelessness, and all the other ''lessnesses''!
Oh, you think Osun State Gubernatorial Elections was a shocker? Wait for the general shockers in 2015.Yours Truly hope that nobody would be shocked to the point of electrocution anyway.
See, the power for positive change lies with the people. Take a cue from the people of Osun State. And we negligently left it in the hands of these ''rulers'' for far too long. Now is the right time to take it back, for it is ours to begin with.It is high time we showed them how important, in fact, indispensable we are in the whole democratic process. As soon as we are able to demonstrate that we call the slots,(that is,the hiring and the firing), they will sit up.Why? Because it will become apparently clear to them that we give whoever we want our mandate, and if he or she fails, refuses and/or neglects to perform well, we will take it back from them and give same to someone else!
This is a powerful lesson to the politicians! And we will do ourselves a whole lot of good if we put this into positive practical reality.
Vote wisely,Vote truly.Be true to yourselves for the future of the next generation depends upon the choices we make now.Until I come your way next time...
Stay True.
Yours Truly,

5TH AUGUST, 2014
Hello there!
Thanks to this Ebola virus, our attention have been forcefully shifted from the kidnapped Chibok girls and the Boko Haram mayhem in the far North. This is sad.
More than one week before the Osun State Gubernatorial Polls, the Presidency(clothed in the attires of the ruling party) have already stationed and saturated the whole place with military and other law enforcement personnel.According to Mr President. they will not allow miscreants, militants, thugs or whatever name they are called to walk on the streets of Osun State and cause havoc to innocent citizens. They also claimed that the militarization of Osun State is to forestall a repeat of the ugly incidence in Bauchi State where innocent members of the compulsory Youth Corps that participated in the conduct of the General Elections were butchered and sent to their untimely graves.
Hmmmmmmmm...we are beginning to learn from history, I daresay. But, Mr.President's voice sounds like that of Jacob while his skin feels like that of Esau! It is Yours Truly's hope that they are sincere to the common man out there. Abi na fear of wetin Asiwaju fit do wey dey give them sleepless nights and goose pimples all over? When, for Pete's sake have they started giving a priority to the security of lives and property? When?
It is Yours Truly's humble observation that this is simply political hypocrisy! When they want to protect their own interests, they take whatever measures. however extreme to do so. But, for the poor masses....? May God Almighty send us a man after His own heart who truly have the interest of the people at heart. Amen!
See, come 2015, all knees ought to be on the ground and all hands on the deck as we vote wisely to enthrone our next set of leaders. The days of rice politics are over! Giving a politician your mandate to rule over you for four(4) good years is worth more than tiny bag of rice.It is priceless! Let us get consciously and politically transformed by the renewal of our minds.
Pass on the message and....
Stay True.

4TH AUGUST, 2014
Hello! Yours Truly is back after about a week's break in transmission. Sorry, it is not my fault. There has been all sorts of network failures in town- the telecom network providers, the electricity supply company, security(resulting in Boko Haram mayhem in the far North-Eastern part of our dear country) and in the health sector in form of Ebola.
Ouch! Talking about Ebola.Hmmmmmmm....the fear of Ebola is the beginning of wisdom, because health is not only wealth but wisdom.I hereby seize a golden opportunity to reproduce verbatim with kind permission, the text message sent to me from the Ministry of Health concerning the monstrous Ebola:
''Contact with blood, sweat, urine and semen of infected
persons/bats/monkeys transmits Ebola.Symptoms: Fever, vomiting, diarrhea and bleeding. Wash hands always and stay alert''.
A word they say, is enough for the wise. But how alert can the common man be? Were the Government and the Ministry of Health to be alert by taking the necessary internationally recognized precautionary measures, the likes of late Patrick Sawyer(may his soul rest in p...) would not have been packaged and sent to us to spread the disease like wildfire! Talk of network failure in the health sector.Yours Truly even heard in the news that our dear President and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic...and his entourage were stopped for the compulsory and necessary routine check-up in the United States of America.Trust them, they are not respecters of neither persons, positions nor presidents. The presidency quickly came out to deny the same report. But, most of us know that in this clime, ''no'' means ''yes'', and ''yes'', ''no''.
Hmmmmmmmm...still on this Ebola. Now, somethings are not clear to Yours Truly in that message above. The bleeding mentioned therein,is it from the mouth, nose, ears, anus or the yonder place? And, what if an individual catches the normal, ordinary cold or fever? I imagine a scenario whereby a person with malaria fever visits a pharmaceutical store or a clinic for treatment and on announcing, ''please I have fever and need some medic...'' and all the medical personnel there taking to their heels, running helter skelter, screaming,''he has Ebola, run for your dear lives!!!'''
Oh my goodness! This is not funny one bit.So, our prayers should even be:''Dear Lord, may fever resulting into vomiting or diarrhea never come near my dwelling place, both now and forever.Amen''.Because the stigmatization alone can make one catch the virus.
Okay, what about avoiding contact with the sweat of infected persons? Have you been in our commercial buses before?Oh my God! The manner in which passengers are being jam-packed like iced fish prepared to be shipped and sold. How can the commuters avoid contact with one another's sweat since the nature of the sitting arrangements not only make their bodies to necessarily touch but have them rubbing hard against one another? And since the vehicles are more often than not, filled to the brim without any breathing space having some passengers standing and/or hanging, how can contact with sweat be prevented? Oh my! And our kind of weather that makes sweating inevitable!
This is Yours Truly's further observation: How about sneezing? What happens when an infected person sitting close to someone sneezes? Oh my! I don't want to imagine the result.
Perhaps, the Ministry should occupy itself with the task of providing the citizenry with oral and nasal masks to prevent some negative eventualities.
We are beginning to glorify this Ebola too much sef. As for me and my household oooo, no weapon fashioned against us in the form of any deadly, ugly, gorillous, monstrous, chimpanzeous Ebola can prosper.Someone who has any iota of faith would agree with me and say AMEN to that .Amen?
Keep watching out for further and true observations.
Stay True.

DIARY OF AN OBSERVER
27TH JULY, 2014
Let us refer to me
simply as ‘’YOURS TRULY’’. Whether Yours Truly is male or female; single or
married; young or old; Nigerian or foreigner; and what his/her career,
business, vocation and hobbies are can only be gleaned from the manner he/she
perceives happenings around him/her, how he/her expresses them on the pages of
this long-winding DIARY, and his/her opinions on issues as they unfold.
So, you are
curious? Then read Yours Truly religiously and your mind will never remain the
same again.
And why is Yours
Truly starting at the end of the year with a belated date? Well, there is
always a first time, hence the Holy Scriptures declares:
To everything there is a
season, and a time
to every purpose under the
heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Therefore,
standing on the authority of the infallible Word, I am convinced that this is
the appropriate season and time for this DIARY to be revealed and read.
Waoh! It has been
raining cats and dogs today.(Or is it dogs and cats?) That kept Yours Truly
indoors most of the time. Abi becos I wan observe happenings around town to
write diary make I enter rain catch fever on top? Who go buy me anti-cold abi
na pro-cold medicine? Health is not only wealth but wisdom.
As usual, that
Powerful Holding Company is doing its work ''effectively and efficiently’' as
the lights are out again! Hmmmm…Yours Truly is tempted to believe that the
Agency’s major mandate is ‘’darkness to the people’’. Just saying ooo. I no wan
fight. Just making a harmless, but painful observation.
My sincere prayers
is that God Almighty should send us a son of light who will deliver us from
this incessant and terrible darkness come the year of the Lord 20…
Yours Truly is not
inferring that somebody is a son of darkness ooo except that is your own
inference or conclusion. I thought they have been sold (I mean privatized).
This ‘’selling’’ process take time ooo. Hope they are not being over-valued
because nobody go wan buy.If they dash me sef………
Well, nothing much
happened today to the observation of Yours Truly.
Keep watching out
for more vivid observations. Tell friends, family and foes about Yours Truly
and your lives will never remain the same again. Your reactions are welcome.
Keep them as cool as possible.
Stay true.
YoursTruly,
